Lion’s forthcoming Launchpad, full screen apps, and Mission Control features are heavily linked to Multi-Touch gestures, mirroring the iPhone/iPad experience.

Apple officially announced at the Back to the Mac event that they are not developing a MacBook or iMac with a touch screen display, and they are instead committed to the trackpad technology found in their Multi-Touch trackpad, Magic Mouse, and Magic TrackPad.  Steve Jobs said that although touch screen technology gives a good demo, Apple’s research indicated users tire of having their arms continually reaching out to the display, and a horizontal surface is more natural to interface with.
