There is a confirmed bug with Adobe InDesign and OS X 10.7.4, where InDesign may crash and display a blank warning box when performing routine tasks including: exporting as PDF, deleting a page with content, and packaging a file.
Adobe’s knowledgebase article on this bug: http://helpx.adobe.com/indesign/kb/indesign-crashes-blank-dialog-boxes.html
This bug did not exist with OS X 10.7.3 and older, and has been reported to be reproducible with OS X 10.8.1.
Adobe’s Knowledgebase article includes two possible solutions to this problem, both involving the replacement of missing API icons in the InDesign application package. The article also indicates this bug affects InDesign CS6 and CS5.5, however it has been reported to also occur with InDesign CS5 and CS4.

Because the OS X 10.7.5 and OS X 10.8.2 updates haven’t been out very long, I can’t confirm that either fix this bug. If you are experiencing InDesign crashing with blank warning boxes, try both solutions listed in Adobe Knowledgebase article.
