A few things you may have missed regarding Apple’s new lineup of Macs introduced on 10/23/12…

The new Mac mini, iMac, and 13″ Retina MacBook Pro no longer come with a SuperDrive, and therefore have no built-in ability to read or burn CD/DVDs. A USB SuperDrive is available from Apple for $79, and portable USB bus-powered Blu-Ray + DVDRW/CDRW drives can be purchased from OWC for $90.

The 13″ Retina MacBook Pro does not come with an Ethernet port (neither does the previously released 15″ Retina MacBook Pro). A Thunderbolt to Gigabit Ethernet adapters is available from Apple for $29.

The new iMac and 13″ Retina MacBook do does not come with a FireWire port. A Thunderbolt to FireWire 800 adapter is available from Apple for $29.
