Apple has updated the version of Server app that runs under Mavericks to Server 3.0.2. It requires OS X 10.9.1.

This Server 3.0.2 update addresses problems with the Software Update and DNS services. It also adds improvements and bug fixes to Profile Manager. The Server app must be manually launched after updating to complete setting up previously configured services, so it should only be applied manually (not pushed out remotely).

While running the Server 3.0.2 update, it may mysteriously report “Server app replacement detected”. Apple states this is a normal part of the update process.

This Server 3.0.2 update does not address the problem where in some causes Mavericks workstations can not connect to servers running Mavericks.
