If you get the error “Process not Elevated” when attempting to install a Flash update, try this workaround:

  1. Make sure you are logged in as an admin user
  2. Open the Terminal app
  3. Type in sudo followed by a space
  4. In the Finder, navigate the mounted Flash installer disk image, and locate “Install Adobe Flash Player”
  5. Control click on “Install Adobe Flash Player” and select “Show Package Contents”
  6. Open the Contents folder, then open the MacOS folder
  7. Drag and drop “Install Adobe Flash Player” into the Terminal window
  8. Switch to Terminal, then hit the enter key
  9. Enter the admin user’s password when prompted in the Terminal

At this point the “Install Adobe Flash Player” should launch, and you should no longer get the “Process not Elevated” error.
