Last month  I mentioned that Microsoft has released a new version of Mac Outlook called “Outlook for Mac for Office 365”, and as the name would suggest it requires an Office 365 subscription. This version of Outlook was sort of like a pre-release of what will be included in Mac Office 2016, which is slated to ship in the last half of 2015.

Microsoft has taken this a step further, and is now offering a complete beta test release of Mac Office 2016, free to anyone. This includes beta versions of the following Office 2016 apps: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneNote.

This Office for Mac Preview can be run along side Office 2011, and requires Yosemite.
